Numerous landowners in New York claim they have been "fracked" by Energy companies who are drilling for shale gas on their properties. Many land/mineral owners have joined in filing lawsuits against companies such as Anschultz Exploration, crying foul over badly negotiated leases, and deceptive exploration practices. Seems that folks are claiming they were misled about the "environmental impact being much greater than they were told." Anschultz denies any wrongdoing. It's sad when those that see an opportunity for gain or profit do not question the costs or who will pay. Without sufficient knowledge, misunderstandings supply job security for the court system. One would think the NY attorneys new to the industry would reference activity in other energy productive areas...
