Nabors 'Rigs Up' at Dennis-Gerik Lease

In a wide open field just northeast of Aquilla, Nabor's Drilling rig #75 prepares the drill for Aspect Energy's Dennis-Gerik Lease.

LS-Midstream's 12" line near Aquilla station will expand to 16" as it crosses Hwy 22 on it's way to Energy Transfer's 42" line in central Hill county.

This rig is Nabors 715. It says Top Dawg on the wind wall. I worked on this rig for 2 and a half years until it was stacked out in March of 09. If I remember correctly, we did two on this site then moved a few miles south of Valley Mills for Aspect. We used oil based mud for these wells which was filthy! There was a Grey Wolf rig down the road going towards Whitney when we were here. Later ran across that rig in Keene when both rigs were working for Cheasapeake. We ran casing on this site but i dont know if they produced. The well in Valley Mills was abandened and plugged after logging the straight hole.

Thanks for the comments. The Dennis-Gerik well is producing, albeit at a minimum currently. Due to depressed natural gas prices numerous wells are either choked back or shut in altogether. Aspect drilled several other wells in the southern Hill county area. Any idea if drilling will return to this area when prices rebound?
