Quicksilver's Norris 1H-7H Units

Not sure which Norris horizontal unit this is, but 7 wells is a lucky number on any property.

Looking south from the Norris lease toward the McPherson Dairy.

Barnett Activity from Blum to Blanton

The Shelby North unit.
The gravel from the original Kennedy pad is being moved to construct another pad on the Kennedy property.

Cattle graze at the displaced pad on the Kennedy Dairy on FM 934.
Now this place looks familiar. Looks like the friendly folks around or near the Kennedy units could see activity involving their properties as well.

Cornerstone 3H Lease

3H Production Remains Steady

Cornerstone 2H Compressor Removed

Only one compressor remains at the Cornerstone 2H unit south of Whitney.
The original compression unit has apparently been moved to another location. Note the vacant space that the first compressor once occupied.

Cornerstone 2H Production 12/2/08

Flow rate has fallen dramatically with the removal of the original compressor.

More gas is being injected for gas lift than is being produced.

Night Falls on Hill County

Commercial Fueling station on Hwy 174, just northeast of Blum, TX. Sign appears to be suspended in mid-air. Nothing like a sunset in the country!
The vibrant colored leaves of this majestic oak tree silhouetted against a fall sky "canvas" are an indication that cold months are fast approaching.

Chesapeake's Burleson Elks Units

First time I've seen a "Not Hiring" sign posted at any unit. With declining gas prices, it could be a sign of the times.

Goober Drilling disassembles the soundproof barrier on this Johnson county unit.

Forest's Cornerstone 3H

Forest Oil's Cornerstone 3H unit, about 5 miles south of Whitney, TX.

Production has dropped off slightly, but has held up well for many months.

Range Resource's Aquilla Unit

It appears that Range's Aquilla drill is complete and cranes are being moved in to lower the rig to the ground platform on the right.
