District 6 councilman Jungas Jordan had been frustrated over the delayed release of the city's air quality study. The report which sports a $1 million price tag will hopefully give
city leaders and residents a better look at how gas drilling in the Barnett Shale has affected the air that Ft. Worth citizens are breathing.
As shale gas drilling continues scenes such as the one depicted above are duplicated hundreds of times across countless parts of the urban landscape. Geophones, along with miles of seismic cable can be seen in the median of S. Hulen St. in southwestern Tarrant county.
