Water Transfer Pipe Sits Idle

Mountains of transfer pipe, used to move millions of gallons water to fracture gas wells, sit idle at a facility just south of Cleburne, TX. This is becoming a common "sign of the times" scenario as gas drilling in the Barnett and throughout the country continues to be scaled back. Depressed natural gas prices and production budget cuts are at the center of the current decline.

Still averaging almost a half million CF/day, production remains steady at this unit, located 5 miles south of Whitney, TX.

Aspect's Dennis-Gerik Unit near Aquilla

Production at the Gerik Unit in far south-central Hill county has seen a steady decline in volume since last summer. Of course ALL Barnett wells have a steep decline curve during their first year.
