Aspect's Hokit 1H Unit - On Hold
The rig has been gone almost two months, and activity has ceased - at least for the moment. A word from the mineral owner was that Aspect needed a more powerful rig to drill to depths necessary to engage the Barnett. The drill casing is all that remains at the pad, located just west of Abbott, TX .

Aspect Abundant Shale's DL Gerik 1V unit is just a stone's throw from EOG's unperfed TAM unit. I suppose a few strips of white cloth were enough to mark the gate for this unit. One way to cut costs.
Barnett Activity Changes the Landscape

New pipelines and gas wells aren't the only effects of gas exploration. Cleared land, new stock fences, new home additions and construction have increased exponentially as a result of putting some of those Barnett bonuses to work.

Stringing a Pipeline Infrastructure
A lateral from Range's Aquilla unit continues to be strung across FR 1947 towards PVR's gathering lines in central Hill county.
With a road bore completed the same lateral line will continue eastward from Peoria, TX.
A working windmill, having provided clean energy for many years, continues to turn faithfully at Hwy 22 and Farm Rd. 1947 in Peoria.One of Forest Oil's Duke units is visible in the distance.
