Pioneer Day's Coming Soon to Whitney Area

Mark this date on your calendar. I hear there is a lot of fun and entertainment in store for this event.

Signs in Johnson and Hill County

New signage on Hwy 174, about 2 miles south of Cleburne, shows the area location of several oil and gas service companies with Barnett Shale operations in Johnson, Hill and surrounding counties.
A bird? A plane? No, it's...I'm not sure. Saw this huge 'object' navigating the streets of Whitney.
It resembles a solid rocket booster from a space shuttle mission.
I assume that an object this large could possibly be headed to a nearby nuclear facilty. Maybe someone could comment on what this might be.

Separator Tanks at Gus Jones 1H Unit

Labels on the separator tanks at the Gus Jones 1H Unit in southern Hill county indicate the presence of crude oil.
Would be nice if this tank was full of "Texas Tea".

Forest Oil's Frac Tank in Southern Hill

This tank has frac'd the Cornerstone, Gus Jones, Pinner and Duke wells. Millions of gallons of water have entered and left this site at FM 933 and HCR 2126.

Caution is indeed the order of the day with so much drilling activity in the southern Hill area.

Cornerstone 2H Updates 9/6/2008

I've included the 'GL' readings since the volume is quite large.

Compression Meter at Cornerstone 2H

This is new. A third flowmeter has been introduced into the lines next to the 2H compressor.
